Osman I. Mufti
Osman Mufti is an Associate who practices in the Firm’s Corporate, Immigration, and Municipal practice groups. Osman received his undergraduate degrees from the University of Evansville in 2006, where he graduated with honors with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelors of Arts in Foreign Language. Osman went on to obtain his law degree from the University of Dayton School Of Law in 2009. He speaks Urdu, Pashto and Spanish.
Osman has been extensively involved in performing due diligence in the firm’s merger and acquisition transactions and has represented several small businesses with respect to corporate formation and government issues. Since beginning his career in 2009, Osman has been an integral part of the firm’s Municipal practice group and has represented Vanderburgh County, the Evansville-Vanderburgh Airport Authority District, the Evansville-Vanderburgh Levee Authority and the City of Evansville and its various departments including the Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Department of Metropolitan Development. Osman has actively represented the Vanderburgh County Commissioners with respect to tax sales and the acquisition and disposal of tax delinquent properties. His experience has led him to lecture and host a continuing legal education seminar concerning the Indiana tax sale process on behalf of the Evansville Bar Association.
Coming from a family of immigrants, Osman’s true passion is in serving the immigrant community. His desire to serve has led to his representation of immigrants in complex family and employment based immigration matters ranging from assisting family based immigrants with waivers of inadmissibility, to employers with H-1B, L-1 and the Labor Certification Process. Osman has been actively involved in the organization of and participation in local Immigration Clinics that service the needs of the local immigrant community. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
