Matt Koressel is an associate with the firm who assists clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, while also contributing to the firm’s immigration and business services practices.

Born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, Matt received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 2015, where he majored in History and earned minors in Business and Criminal Justice. Matt received his law degree, cum laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2018. During law school, Matt clerked for a small Indianapolis law firm where he assisted with various family law matters. Matt also gained experience at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office as a Certified Intern in the office’s Level 6 felony division, before joining the Office of the Indiana Attorney General’s (“OIAG”) Litigation Division as a law clerk.

After passing the Indiana Bar Exam, Matt returned to the OIAG where he handled cases in the Government Litigation, Administrative and Regulatory Litigation, Criminal and Civil Appeals, and Medical Licensing sections. Matt then transitioned to working exclusively for the Government Litigation section, where the bulk of his time was spent defending the Indiana Department of Correction and its employees in civil rights and tort suits.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, and enjoying the outdoors.
