John W. Collins
John is a partner in the firm who focuses his practice in the areas of estate and trust planning and administration, business and wealth succession planning and corporate transactions. John also handles estate and trust litigation, guardianships, Medicaid planning cases, elder law issues, real estate transactions and tax law matters. John also has significant experience providing legal counsel to parents of disabled children, particularly with respect to creation and administration of special needs trusts. John is a Board Certified Indiana Trust & Estate Lawyer as certified by the Indiana Trust & Estate Specialty Board of the Indiana State Bar Association.
John grew up in Newburgh, Indiana, attended Castle High School, and then received his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University in 1996. John received his law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1999.
Prior to joining the firm, John practiced law in Jasper, Indiana, for nearly ten years at a satellite office of an Indianapolis-based law firm. While John now practices law primarily in Evansville, he continues to see and meet with clients all over Southern Indiana.
John’s client base is diverse. John represents clients ranging from corporate trustees to individuals from all walks of life.
John is licensed to practice law in both Indiana and Illinois.
