David V. Miller
David V. Miller is a partner in the firm whose broad experience in complex litigation, dispute resolution and creative problem solving has involved issues in banking, securities fraud, shareholder and partnership disputes, government contracts, mining, eminent domain, estates and fiduciary responsibility, municipal and corporate government, and transaction and commercial disputes. David has represented businesses, banks, merchants, manufacturers, professionals, state and local government units and individuals through trials, arbitrations and appeals in numerous states and in the federal courts.
David is an Evansville, Indiana, native, a 1965 graduate of the University of Michigan, and received his law degree from Indiana University – Indianapolis in 1969, magna cum laude, where he was Editor of the Indiana Legal Forum. While in law school, David also worked full-time as law clerk to Justice Donald H. Hunter of the Indiana Supreme Court.
David began the private practice of law in 1969, and was also a Deputy Prosecutor from 1969 through 1975, with responsibility for homicide cases. From 1976 to 1985, he served as United States Magistrate for the Evansville Division of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He was also the County Attorney for Vanderburgh County from 1980 to 1990 and 2009 -2010.
David has served as a civil mediator, has chaired arbitration panels and, from 1986 through 1996, he established and administered an international adoption program.
David is an accomplished writer, having served as a columnist for the Evansville Courier & Press for a number of years. In 2016, David published his first book, The Book of David.
